If the Shanti is not performed, there is a probability that a sudden death will occur in the family within a few months of a person dying in Dhanista Panchakam. Therefore, it is strongly advised to conduct this Shanti after the 15th day and before three months have passed. It must be completed within six months at most, failing which the family shall do Mahamrityunjaya and Navagraha Shanti.

When a person passes away during one of the following five nakshatras, Dhanishta Panchakam Shanti must be performed.the sign of Dhanishta Poorvabhadrapada Satabhisha Nakshatra Revathi Nakshatra Uttarabhadrapada Nakshatra. After poojas such the Ganapathy Pooja, Navagraha Pooja, Kula Devata Pooja, Kalasha Avahanam, Sodasaupchara Pooja, Rudrabhishekam, Nakshatra Japam, Navagraha Japam, Homam, and Danam, Vedic priests will perform this Shanti.

When To Perform Dhanishta Panchakam Shanti?

When a person died in Dhanista panchaka nakshatras, then this Shanti has to be performed after the 15th day, or before 3 months, or maximum before the 6th month.
