Description
Lalitha Devi is honoured with the Lalitha Sahasranama Pooja. These three sections, Poorva Bhaga, Stotra, and Uttara Bhaga, are derived from the Brahmanada Purana. The Poorva Bhaga discusses the Lalitha Sahasranamam’s inception, the Stotra’s 1000 Namas, and Uttara Bhaga outlines the advantages of reciting it.
Shiva sent Lalitha Sahasranamam directly to Nandi, who then received it. It travelled from Nandi to Sage Agastya muni via Hayagriva. When repeated with complete devotion, this Parayanam has a greater impact than any Tantra or Mantra. By doing Ganapathi, Sodasupchara, and Parayanam poojas, Lalitha Sahasranama Pooja is performed.
When Should Lalitha Sahasranama Pooja Be Performed?
It is recommended to plan Lalitha Sahasranamam on a Friday, Ashtami, Navami, during Navratri, or on any other auspicious day.
